I am a visual artist based in Ann Arbor, Michigan, painting in a variety of mediums, such as acrylics, oils, and cold wax medium. Born in Sweden, I spent my childhood often moving and living in various countries in Europe before settling in the United States as a young adult.
Nature and its visual details are a steady source of inspiration for my paintings. I am interested in the tension between humans and nature, and the notion of the natural world around us as being strong and resilient, at times unsettling or mysterious. I am also interested in how we occupy our spaces, how we depict these place and our memories, remembered or imagined, as well as trying to capture more descriptive moments of daily life. I love color and my painting process often involves some experimentation with colors, forms, and mark making.
You can find some of my paintings at Cloth & Kind .
